Hi, I've a firmware error with the last clonezilla 2.2.4-i486 during boot on atom based motherboard . The error come during the /dev populating activity and say:
failed to load ar3k/AthrBT_0x01020200.dfu
I attach the video capture with the error message.
Googling around I've discovered that is a closed driver, and so I should use the Trusty version for license permits. I've tried the last trusty-20140915-i386 but it fails to boot, the screen don't show any information.
I would like to know what can i do to start cloning?
Or I can include the driver in a custom version and consequently hot to build a custom clonezilla?
thank' s in advance for answer and thank's very much for youre efforts.
Giorgio
Did you try to use the KMS mode or failsafe mode in
http://clonezilla.org/fine-print-live-doc.php?path=./clonezilla-live/doc/01_Save_disk_image/01-clonezilla-boot-menu.doc#01-clonezilla-boot-menu.doc
?
Please also give alternative Clonezilla live testing release, i.e. 20141113-utopic or 20141113-vivid, a try:

Hi, tank's for attention.
Yes, i've tried also the KMS and Failsafe boot but without success.
I have to say that my motherboard (jetway nf36-2600) have only DVI port, not VGA port, so I don't know if the program can'start or only I don't see anything 'cause output is only to VGA.
Then I've tried the 64 bit version of trusty and i have only black screen, without error messages.
With the utopic and vivid i386 versions and failsafe boot I get a PNPBIOS fatal error, as you can see on the attached image. with kms boot I see only a black screen.
With the utopic 64bit i have only a black screen for every menu choice: vga 800x600, kms and failsafe.
bye
I believe it's kernel/hardware support issue. Are you able to boot any version of GNU/Linux on that machine?
If so, please let us know the version.
Thanks.
Steven.
Hi, i'm here with some reports:
I've tested ubuntu 14.04 desktop64 from a usb-key and did',t boot.
Then I' used Yumy multiboot with the same distro and the behaviour was the same.
So i tryied other distro with live capability with yumi or universal usb installer:
fedora last version - no success
ubuntu 12.04 desktop 386 - no success
archlinux last - no success
i've started with success:
boot_repair_disk
and
an old parted_magic 2012_09_12 version: from inside this distro there was an old clonezilla, so I've made the disk copy. but that clonezilla was without the integrated distro for build the iso repair-disk so i'wasn't able to make the repair system
Giorgio
Thanks for sharing that.
If you want to put Clonezilla live a USB flash drive, it's recommended to follow this:
