Hello,
I wanted to ask a question about the Clonzilla ubuntu version for uefi.
I used the 20180812-bionic (the ubuntu image for uefi)and mistakely booted to the legacy mode instead of the UEFI when created image for uefi windows 10 system.
After that I used the recover image still on clonezilla legacy boot mode and noticed that the OS didn't loaded stright after the recover proccess finished because the boot order first boot was on legacy and not the uefi at the bios boot order and after changing it it worked fine.
After that I saw that if I use the clonezilla with uefi mode I don't need to change the boot order.
My question is if in any way the fact that I created the image with the legacy mode could effect somehow the OS image or not ? because it really important image.
Please I need to know this urgently .
Thanks .
" if in any way the fact that I created the image with the legacy mode could effect somehow the OS image or not ? " -> Normally for the data, it should be saved correctly. However, for the booting entry, it's a problem. Like what you did, you need to tune the booting entry, etc.
However, it's recommended to save the image again in uEFI mode. It will be more complete.
Steven
Ok thanks Steven.
I will create a new image .
