Here I can use Clonezilla live 1.2.8-23-i686 to sshfs my squeeze server, using the TUI (prep-ocsroot). Besides, you mentioned that you can manually issue the sshfs command to mount your ssh server, so I guess mabye the issue is in the command prep-ocsroot.
