It's only a win if you don't use any of the other Clonezilla/DRBL features. Normally we build machines with DRBL's PXE boot on a certain subnet, but we have another NIC on the DRBL server facing our main networks so we can boot a Clonezilla-live CD anywhere and save or restore images from the same location using ssh or nfs for the connection.
