I don't recall seeing error messages, but then I usually only look at the screen before me. Where should I look for error log file?

As I was leaving work, I was loading the disk 750GB disk image onto the 1TB drive.

What did you mean? If you mean to include vmfs tools in Clonezilla live,
yes, actually it has been included. You can find
vmfs-tools version 0.2.1-1 in Clonezilla live 1.2.5-38.
