Basically it can save the image on the Samba server... Maybe you hit a 
bug... Give alternative clonezilla live, 20100623-maverick or 
20100623-lucid a try.

Did you mean you want to boot Clonezilla live from USB flash drive on 
your MacBook? If so, actually I have no idea how to make that :) If you 
know that, please share that with us.
