Hi, I'm trying to create a custom build of clonezilla-live-1.2.2-31. I found the FAQ entry here informative, but ultimately it failed me: http://drbl.sourceforge.net/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/46_create_clonezilla_live_from_scratch.faq#46_create_clonezilla_live_from_scratch.faq What I'm ultimately trying to accomplish is to create an exact copy of 1.2.2-31 with the addition of a few custom packages. I booted the 1.2.2-31 LiveCD in VMWare and partitioned the raw disk with a single partition, sda1. I created reiserfs on it before proceeding with the steps documented in the FAQ above. Step 6 in the FAQ states that I should edit /opt/drbl/conf/drbl.conf and add my required dependencies to PKG_FROM_DBN_WHICH_OCS_LIVE_NEED, which I did. I then edited /opt/drbl/setup/files/ocs/live-hook/ocs-live-hook and added a few lines near the end to install some custom-built debs from /live-hook-dir in the chroot. So far, so good. Next I tried to build a new image, as documented: create-debian-live -d lenny -i zmanda -l t This also worked, so I created the Clonezilla ISO from the debian-live ISO with ocs-iso. Then I tried to boot the newly minted ISO image in another VMWare virtual machine, but this failed. It looks like the package selection is completely different from the 1.2.2-31 release on sourceforge; for one thing, the kernel image is much older (2.6.26-2-486) and the boot fails early on in the initramfs (before the squashfs is mounted). Are there any documented solutions for building production versions of Clonezilla with a few minimal modifications? Thanks, Mike |
