Dear Clonezilla Team,
thanks a lot for clonezilla, really highly appreciated! But not being able to restore do a diffent partition is a pain in the ass. It should be possible to restore sda2 to sda2 for example. Any others sharing that feature request?

So you should mean to restore sda2 to sdb2, right?

Clonezilla live 2.3.0-1 or 20140929-* now supports that:
http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
When using "restoreparts", if you choose one partition from the image, you will be prompted to choose the destination partition.
Please give it a try and let us know the results.
