Not sure why I cant seem to create an image from a VM....
the short story on the setup
Windows 10 running VM Ware 16
the Virtual Machine is running Windows 10 (I actually have several virtual machines to do images for several diffferent computers)
using clonezilla live iso 3.1.1-21
I create an image from the VM, but when I go to check the image, it always gives me an error
crc error partition broken....
the VM works 100% without issue...
What am I missing?
I have tried saving the image thru smb to the destination drive we use to image other machines
and I have tried saving it to an external hard drive and then manually copying it to the main image destination afterwards
I have 4 other images working with zero issues
I cant seem to get this 5th image to work no matter what I do to it
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
for what its worth... the image is definitely NOT broken like the error suggest
works just fine with the -icrc option added
and the computer comes up just fine afterwards and shows no errors of any kind

Have you checked the hardware? Normally this CRC error is due to hardware, like RAM, CPU fan, or something else.
Steven
so I bumped up to 3.1.2.something..LOL
and I added -icrc to the default file
seems to have solved it...
still doesnt tell me why it had this issue....
when you say hardware issue...do you mean on the computer being imaged or on the linux imaging server
