I've already posted this on the PartedMagic support forum, but I've been asked to report here as well.

It works with clonezilla live (2.5.0...) & according to the developer of PartedMagic, it should therefore work with his product as well. I doesn't for me.

The error message:

Target disk sdb does not exist in the image saved from disk(s) "sda".
Creating a tmp Clonezilla image [...]

Press "Enter" to continue ......

target_parts is NOT assigned in function task_restoreparts.

Could you please describe:
1. On which version of Clonezilla is the issue reproducible?
2. How to reproduce the issue in details.
This would be easier for us to fix the issue.

Well, as I've said, my problem lies with whatever version Mr. Verner uses for his dev-branch of PartegMagic. I was told to report directly to You, as you 2 have an agreement of sorts.

Apparently his latest dev-release 2017-04-13 uses

clonezilla-3.25.11.tar.xz
drbl-2.23.23.tar.xz

Test-case (pmagic_2017_04_13.iso, VM, 2 disks):

Create a disk-image of /dev/sda to /home/partimag

Attempt to restore this image to /dev/sdb

OK, this looks like not a problem for Clonezilla live.
Did you try Clonezilla live 2.5.0-25?

Is this issue reproducible there?
If not, then I think something goes wrong for pmagic.
If it is, then I need to know more details.

Yes, that works fine!

On PartedMagic the "2017-xx-xx-xx-img-tmp-cnvted" never gets created & thusly it doesn't work.

Actually I meant madworm should let you know that Clonezilla live does work, and somehow there is an issue in PartedMagic. Then you can contact me, give me the PartedMagic iso so that I can try and fix the issue.
