    Hello,

i created a image with clonzilla. This image is stored on a VMWare HDD (vmdk).

Now i created a second VMWare with an 1,1TB hdd, where i want to restore the image. I added the hdd from the other VMWare to the new one. Now i start clonzilla, select a langauge, mount the hdd to /home/partimag. But then I cannot select restorepart or restoredisk. There are only three options: savedisk, saveparts and exit.

I choose exit and open the cmd.

In the folder "/home/partimag/user/Documents" is the image that i want to restore.
The 1,1TB HDD is there as sda.

How can I starte the restore process manually? Why clonzilla don't show me these options?

    Have a nice day
    ben

Ok, I have copied the image to the root folder. Then clonezilla was able to restore it.

Yes, "restore-related" option will be shown in the menu only when there is image in the image repository (/home/partimag).

That did not work for me. Still RESTORE option fails to show. So what are the commnd syntax to use, if any to utilize Restore ... Else ConeZilla is worthless.

Make sure you have image "dir" in the /home/partimag/.
    For more info, please check:
    https://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-usage/general-live-use.php
    ...
///Note/// The image name of Clonezilla is actually a directory name. For example, if you give the image name as 2007-05-NOVISTA, all the info will be saved as in the directory /home/partimag/2007-05-NOVISTA/. Inside that directory, MBR, partition table and partition files will be stored. Therefore when you want to restore an image, remember to mount the /home/partimag as the right device or path. i.e. the directory 2007-05-NOVISTA must be in the clonezilla home directory (Ex. /home/partimag).
