    Hi....
I found either version 3.1..3-11 and 3.1.3-16 has a long time to process finding partition, maybe it's 10 times longrr than usual. I used Clonezilla maybe for 5 years by now. Recently I updated Clonezilla to newer version, but I found that. How do I fix this?
    Thanks in advance!

    [UPDATE]
After replacing hdd, the problem is gone. Perhaps, I guest it's because old drive or there are bad sectors in it.

What kind of disk devices do you have? Please boot Clonezilla live, enter command line prompt, then run:
    1. sudo -i
    2. cat /proc/partitions
    3. blkid
Please post the results of 2 & 3.
BTW, any difference if you use testing Clonezilla live 3.1.3-26?

    Sorry for late reply.
where is Clonezilla live 3.1.3-26? I can't find it. Maybe, you mean 3.1.3-16? If that so, I tried with 3 different version, which are 3.1.3-11, 3.1.3-16, and live testing 3.2.0-2. All these versions are slow to finding partitions. But, not always, sometimes they are seems to be normal as usual. I don't know why Clonezilla behave like that. Btw, these are attachments you requested for.

It's weird. Your devices look normal. No idea if this is related to Linux kernel/hardware support issue.
A testing Clonezilla live was just released, i.e., 3.2.0-3 or 20241002-oracular:
    https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
They come with newer Linux kernels.
BTW, we did not encountered this issue here.

I can only think that those hdd are old and contains bad sectors. But, I already seperate the bad sectors to unallocated space.
Okay, thank you for your response. If I have solution, I will report back here.

OK, so it looks like this is related to hardware issue. Since your hard drive has bad sectors, it's recommended to replace it with a new one asap.

Yes, maybe it just hardware issue. I change the hard drive with the brand new one, problem is gone.
    Thanks, Steve
