Is it possible to overwrite the same image, instead of creating a new one?

I have a backup/image of my drive on a USB that I update every few months. I'd really like to be able to simply overwrite the backup/image each time, but as far as I can tell, Clonezilla only lets you create a fresh image? Meaning I have to manually go into Windows with the USB and delete the old image each time.

I know it's a small request, but is this possible? I couldnt' see a way how.

If you use the command, as the green one shown here:
    https://clonezilla.org//clonezilla-live/doc/01_Save_disk_image/images/ocs-10-8-img-save-command-prompt.png
It will just do that for you. The existing image checking is only for TUI.
Maybe in the future we should have an option in the TUI that you can choose to overwrite it.

      Thanks very much Steven.

It's good to know it technically exists - just perhaps a bit too cumbersome and technical for the more primitive folk like me 😅

I was wrong. Actually if you enter the same image name, it will ask you if you want to overwrite. Say, if the image "xxx" exits, if you input it again, the following dialog will be shown:
The image "xxx" exists! This image name is already used!
Do you want to overwrite it ?
