Well, Clonezilla deals with the "used blocks" on the partitions, therefore it's not 100% working to enable options "-k1" and "-icds" for your case. Especially the used blocks on the larger disk might be outside the partition bounday of smaller disk. You can try to use GParted live to shrink the source partitoins, then clone them. Still, this might fail, too.

I don't get the "used blocks" affair then though. Why cloning (in my case at least) a 320GB hard disk (with partitions only up to 160th) to a 250GB disk should be problematic?
