I get the error in title and this error wording makes absolutely no sense to me. The verbose output before the error Target disk nvme0n1 does not exist in the image saved from disks "" also makes no sense to me. Of course target and source disks are always different, this shouldn't be a problem.
When I do checking if the image is restorable it returns successful result, it is restorable. I do restore of disk image to a new disk.
Any hints?
The versions of the packages you are using are really old.
Have you tried to use Clonezilla live directly? The latest stable one would be good (3.1.3-16): https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
