I'm a first time Clonezilla user, and I just launched the Live CD.
I'm on the menu where I have to select the partition for the clonezilla image repository, see the attached image.
On the screen the text instructs to select a partition for /home/partimag, but doesn't state what will it be used for?
I have a technical background, yet not even for me it is clear what /home/partimag is supposed to mean?
Is it some temporary directory and I have to select the small pendrive I booted from?
Is it the destination for saving the image? If it is that, then why would it create some random /home/partimag folder to put the images there instead of me selecting where to save?
Will it format the partition I select, since it is currently an NTFS partition?
Or is it for something else?
I looked up the official documentation.
Well, even the official documentation doesn't explain explicitly what is it for?!?!
So I'm asking you guys extend both the on-screen instructions and the documention.
Thanks for your feedback.
Actually if you read it carefully, it says: "so that we can read or save the image in /home/partimag/" in the 1st line.
That's the reason why we need to mount /home/partimag/.

When selecting the clonezilla operating mode, you should be more explicit:
remote-source and remote-dest: the description should not repeat the name. instead it should say if it will copy image FROM this computer or TO this computer.

Thanks.
The dialog in GNU/Linux command line/text mode has space limitation. Hence we can not put too long sentence. We will try to explain more in the future if we find some better description.
