Background:
I am attempting to clone a physical XP system as a VM on a separate computer under Virtualbox. I created a VM with XP disks to get a boot record.
Next I used clonezilla to copy the XP partition of machine 1 (which is a triple-boot machine). I couldn't figure out how to point clonezilla to machine 2 (the new server runing Vbox), so I created it on a local drive on 1 and copied it to the server (2).
Then I booted the VM from the clonezilla cd. When it asks where to write to or read from, I say Samba server and give it the ip address. Then I give it the path to the image I copied.
When I give it the path to the directory containing the image directory I get "error 113--no route to host." When I give it the path all the way to the image directory, I get "return code -6, no such device or address."
What am I doing wrong?
