I plan to clone my 40 gb hard drive to a new 250 gb hard drive. The new hard drive jumpers are set for "master". Do I need to make any changes to the jumpers before installing? How should I hook the new drive up before cloning?

  Yes, if it's on same IDE cable. You can only have one master and the other one must be slave.
