    Bangor55 - 2015-07-21

My plan was to save the disk content of a Win7 machine, clean the disk and restore it with Clonezilla.

    After having run
    1. ) a Clonezilla savedisk from a laptop harddrive to a USB-drive into s subdirectory "/2015-07-19-12-img", and
    2. ) formatting the laptop-harddrive,
3.) it looks like the restore options are not available.

Although some posts on this topic relate to the problem of mounting to /home/partimage I can't relate that to my problem as all is driven by the text commands without me interfering.

    Observations are though:
when starting Clonezilla, I get 2 messages :
    a) overlayfs: missing 'workdir'
    b) #ERROR# No UMS support in radeon module!
    But it allstarts.

Then, in the Restore procedure : after attaching the USB drive, regardless whether choosing "/Top_directory_in_the_local_device" or "/2015-07-19-12-img", I get a table of contents with mappings.

In there two "/dev/sdb1" are listed,
    one "/dev/sdb1" mounted on "/tmp/local-dev"
    one "/dev/sdb1" mounted on "/home/partimag".

Any help available to bring back the restore options ?

      "a) overlayfs: missing 'workdir'
      b) #ERROR# No UMS support in radeon module!" -> They are minor problems, and it's nothing to do with your issue. Therefore you can ignore them.
Could you please show me the file list in your /home/partimag/ by running:
      tree /home/partimag/
in the Clonezilla live command prompt?

      Steven.

I can not restore my old windows 7 backup either.
There are no restore options available.

External HD is mounted as home and the ~/xxx-xx-xx-xx-img folder is there, I can see it by selecting the mount folder from the external HD...

I tried multiple clonezilla versions, debian, ubuntu.

    What can I do now ? :(
