After imaging and restoring a Windows7 partition, Windows fails booting with the error message: "Windows Boot Manager - Windows failed to start. Recent hardware or software change might be the cause. Error 0xc0000225".
I assume it's something to do with the hash key that Windows generates as part of its activation thingie. FWIW, I can restore XP and Linux just fine on the exact same hardware (images in /sda2, test partition in /sda1, Grub in the MBR).
To avoid running the "Windows Recovery Disk" every time I restore a Vista/7 partition, does someone know if something can be done to avoid this error?
Thank you for any tip.
