I created an iso file of Gparted-Clonezilla 2.3 on a CD. Can clonezilla work with a single PC or is it solely for networks and servers ? If can work with PC please direct me to use instructions. I have Windows 2000 and Mepis 7(linux).

Clonezilla should work on any PC. What i could suggest if you prefer a live version of it is to get one with GPARTED program too.
I was playing with both GParted and Clonezilla, and "target" was my notebook running WinXP Pro with several different partitions...
Here is what i did:
1. Made a backup of my notebook's disk to external device or network (could not recall) with clonezilla
2. restarted with GParted and made some changes in disk and partition layout (changing sizes, positions etc).
3. Rebooted in windows just to check that everything is still working... (Was OK)
4. Restored image taken in first step...
5. Rebooted in Windows... everything went OK...
