With the newer enormous hard drives coming out, is there any way to do a Clonezilla device to image backup from one drive to an image that spans several smaller disks? For [an extreme] example, can I backup a single 10 TB drive to ten or eleven 1 TB USB drives? Just wondering how to handle a scenario like this as very large drives become increasingly common.

No, so far the image file you have to put in a directory. They can not be separated to several disks. Or at least you have to merge them using something like LVM or overlay file system.
