Guys, only you can save me from this distress and anxiety.

I thought of creating an image of my windows xp system, so that in case of any system failure i can restore it.

I created the clonezilla live image CD and rebooted by system with it and hooked a 500 GB hard drive to it.

i followed all the default options and started the image.

After 2 or 3 hours it came back and said "disk is full" message.

I selected the poweroff option to exit clonezilla.

i unhooked the external hard drive and tried to reboot my system to see what went wrong.**

My system won't reboot after this**. Please guide me so that i can get life back to my system and myself also.

    Appreciate your time.

    Thanks!!

    Manish

When i start my computer it shows up the Windows XP screen then show the message that "Windows didn't start normally last time" would you like to start windows in Safe mode, Start Normally and so on.

When i choose option to start normally it shows the blue screen for a flash of a second and then again goes back to that screen that windows didn't start normally last time.

Niether it will boot laptop in safe mode nor with "last known good configuration".

I have booted it with DOS CD and found that i no longer have my c:\ drive on my laptop.

Plz help and GOD will bless.

    Thanks!!

Normally Clonezilla live won't touch your harddrive if you do not run any restoring job…

So you mean you can enter safe mode, but it does not work for normal mode? Is that possible you can enter safe mode, and use the tools in your MS windows to do some diagnoses and then fix that?
Maybe you can try to boot your MS Windows CD and fix that?
BTW, "I have booted it with DOS CD and found that i no longer have my c:\ drive on my laptop." -> DOS maybe do not have the driver for your chip set. Therefore it's quite possible that you can not find drive C in DOS.

It won't let me enter windows in safe mode also. I am 100% positive that i didn't select the restore option, i was trying to create an image.
