I've installed DRBL on a fresh Xubuntu server, how do I start DRBL? Is it running after I do drblpush -i? If so, how do I know?

If by install you mean you have run "drblsrv -i" and then "drblpush -i", you can now run "dcs" to configure the server's operation (save image, restore image, etc). If you reboot at this point, the server should be started during bootup.

See, that's what I'm talking about. I didn't see drblsrv - i anywhere in the text I read.
Also, why do I have to keep assiging things to clients. I dont want to assign anything.

Those above commands are part of the DRBL install document located at http://drbl.sourceforge.net/one4all/ . Go through it VERY carefully. I had to read it several times over to get the whole picture.
Can you expand on what you mean by "assigning things to clients"?

Can I only get it to image to the server if the server is to have clients image? When I try to do it from the client the program just closes?
I got it to etherboot one time by not setting the fiename, but then it gave some looped error about another piece of software trying to access the harddrive.

I believe you can ONLY set the server to save images or restore images. However, you only need to re-run "dcs" to change this.
You could also boot a Clonezilla Live CD on the client; it will create and upload an image of the client to an nfs export (like partimag directory on your server), while your server waits for clients to restore.
I do not believe there is a way to choose save or restore from the client's end.

Ok, I set up a paritition /Images to store the images, and I set the save folder to said partition. However, when trying to save an imabe, it keeps trying to save it to /Home/partimag.
Thoughts? comments? queries? quips? quos?

I've reinstalled this twice, following the directions, and I still cannot get a computer to etherboot. As long as I am required to divy out IP adresses in order for this to work I can't to do it.

You know what, nevermind.
