    Can't boot in some machine/enviroment.

I use clonezilla 1.2.2-14 usb live's function create recovery iso

and burn use in a dvd disc. (growisofs -Z )

Can't boot in my 6515b notebook

Can't boot in my 6515b 's  virtualbox in winxp.

If i use the iso it can boot in the virtualbox.

I use the dvd disc I mention above,  find it Can boot in my desktop PC

My DVD mod is TSSTcrop ts-l632D

    1. Can I sure there is some compatible problem in syslinux and my DVD Reader.
    2. How can I debug the problem? Can you give me some advice on Tool and method to debug this problem.
    3. How can I let syslinux print out debug message.

I'd like to suggest when it fails, try to use the "failsafe" mode in the boot menu first.
If you are sure the problem is on isolinux, try to replace those isolinux-related files in the dir /isolinux. Either older or newer version of isolinux.

      Steven.

It can't even display the first image screen. can't choose any thing

Nothing but just blank black screen.

Then after several seconds boot from HDD.

I have test on some linux distribution

SUSE 11.0 Live CD 32bit can't boot with the same behavior as above.

Ubuntu 8.04 LTS x86_64 Alternate can boot.
      isolinux 3.53, kernel 2.26.24

May be Clonezilla should use a isolinux debug edition?

      Need more information?

      I'm very sorry. Border you.

It's just a hardware problem, just a coinsident after i use clonezilla.

The ts-l632d DVD reader, broke & can't read  almost all dvd but cd.
