Hello,
I am using Clonezilla to image Dell servers with various HDD controllers. The non-raid versions work OK, but the HW RAID controllers don't appear to work. Is it simply a matter of obtaining correct drivers, or is Clonezilla unlikely to work with HW RAID controllers in general?
Specifically, it's a Dell 2650 with an Adaptec HW RAID controller. I am attmpting to make an image of an NTFS partition that contains Win 2003 Srv 64-bit edition. I can get more details on the issue tomorrow.
Thanks,
Todd

Which clonezilla live are you using ? I am guessing that the kernel from Clonzilla live does not support your RAID card ? If so, maybe you can give the clonezilla live in testing branch a try. It's using kernel 2.6.22.

BTW, there is a new mechanism to detect the disk in clonezilla live 1.0.7-18, which was released yesterday. Maybe you can give it a try to see if there is anything different.
Please let us know the results. Thanks in advance.

I had made some comments on raid in my topic chain...
in short i had one bad, one OK and one very good case with raid. Bad ine and not resolved yet is related to RAID 0 configuration.
Other two were about Raid1 and working perfectly with more or less ease, but working...
