is that possible with clonezilla or it only does imaging of a Perfect disk?IIf imaging of imperfect disk is possible what are the memory requirements if you want to image to say usb flash disk and if you want to burn the image directly with cd writer(from which you booted clonezilla live)

no partitions can be seen on fat hdd and probably ihdd has some bad sectors so is clonezilla going to be able to make an image from it(can image be compressed to flash drive)?
If not, are any of the tools included:drbl-partimage,partclone, gddrescue,libparted..
capable of copying files to usb flash drive if the motherboard does not support booting from it?
(and later perhaps also repairing the bad master partition an boot sectors)

If there are bad sectors on your FAT hard drive, Clonezilla is _NOT_ able to image it. (Although there is an option you might make it for NTFS)
You can try ddrescue or gddrescue to image that.

Why not repair the bad errors under msdos using CHKDSK. Then image the partition. If it's a bad mbr, use fdisk/mbr to re-install the mbr
