I am attempting to restore from an image created using clonezilla. I have two partitions one ext3 (boot) and lvm2 (main). When restoring, everything goes fine, no errors, but when I reboot, this is the message I get. I have attempted to restore individual partitions as well as entire disk. SOS

  I guess this is the boot loader problem. Are you using grub as boot loader? Does grub partition (/boot/) exist on an ext4 partition?
  Maybe you can use any rescue CD (or Clonezilla live) to reinstall grub?
