    Hi,

I appreciate you making the clonezilla available.

I have a couple ibook laptops with no hard drives. Unfortunately, the install disks for mac os
10.3 (Panther) does not recognize the hdd unless it is already partitioned for mac (HFS+) .

I hooked up a  hdd, and I booted from a clonezilla boot cd and went to the command prompt. Typed fdisk ,
program did not exist.  How can I partition this hdd for mac HFS+ ?

I found another program called transmac (free for 15 days) that runs under windows, and set up the hdd for mac
(hfs+). Ran it and formatted the hdd for HFS+, and put it into the MAC ibook. It recognized the hdd and installed the
O.S. (10.3 Panther).   Afterwards, I removed the hdd, and hooked it hooked it up to a pc, and ran clonezilla to create
a disk image. It came up with a slew of errors, about not recognizing the partitions properly, however it was
    eventually able to save .

I ran clonezilla again to transfer that saved disk image to another hdd, it would not transfer because of errors of
the partition table. It was able to transfer the image as an individual partition,  however not as a whole disk.

        My questions:

If this program transmac that runs under was able to set up the hdd for mac, can't you build
a windows version of clonezilla that runs under windows?

As mentioned before, how can you partition the hdd? fdisk did not run.

Does clonezilla work properly for Mac HFS+ disks?

         Thanks for distributing the program.

    Regards

"can't you build a windows version of clonezilla that runs under windows? " -> All the programs are basically run on GNU/Linux, and it's very difficult to port to MS windows.
There is a program called "/sbin/gdisk" included in Clonezilla live, and maybe you can try that.
Remember to switch to root by "sudo -i" so you can run it.

    Steven.
