I have an existing 1TB drive with Win7 that I'm trying to clone.

    I have 2x2TB set up in a RAID1 mirror.

When I boot Clonezilla (clonezilla-live-2.3.1-18-i686-pae) it will detect an MD device which I am assuming is Linux raid "seeing" the BIOS raid device.

However, when I try to use that MD device as the target for CloneZilla, it can't determine the size and then complains that the device is "impossibly small" and refuses to attempt the clone.

    Any suggestions?

Look for the blkdev.list of your image. Then you can create the new partition table on the destination disk(s) e.g. with 'gparted live'. The partitions should be equal or greater than the old ones.
Don't forget the hidden windows partition(s).
That's why you should use savedisk/restoredisk and not saveparts/restoreparts.
