Cloning from MBR to GPT partition

I am trying to clone a 32gb image to a 2.4TB disk. I have tried several options and nothing allows the server to boot. The source of the image is actually an azure image we brought down and cloned, i have don't this several times before, but not on a drive so big. No matter what I try it will not boot afterwards. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What's the error message when you mentioned "not boot"?
