Hi!
I have made a disk backup copy using clonezilla (ntfsclone | gzip), but have not checked up it. Unfortunately .gz file is broken.
I can restore of part (big part) of data using gzresover… But I don't know what can I do with broken ntfs-img data.
I try to restore data to free partition and get this error:
# ntfsclone -restore-image -O /dev/sdc1 /export/backup/sda2.ntfs-img.recover ntfsclone v2.0.0 (libntfs 10:0:0) Ntfsclone image version: 10.0 Cluster size : 4096 bytes Image volume size : 190661988352 bytes (190662 MB) Image device size : 190661990400 bytes Space in use : 177946 MB (93.3%) Offset to image data : 56 (0x38) bytes Restoring NTFS from image … ERROR: Invalid command code in image
# du -hs /export/backup/sda2.ntfs-img.recover 166G /export/backup/sda2.ntfs-img.recover
Is there any ways to restore though a part of files from image?
Did you try the option "-rescue"?
Steven.
Yes. I have got the same error: ERROR: Invalid command code in image
Oops… I am afraid that the image is broken very badly that you have such error…
