Are there any issues with using a new Clonezilla version to restore an image taken with an older version of Clonezilla? The thought crossed my mind due to a recent issue (https://sourceforge.net/projects/clonezilla/forums/forum/663168/topic/5434691) with a piece of hardware that only boots up an older version of Clonezilla Live. Obviously, I must keep this old version around in the event I will ever need to restore to the same disk. But what if the hdd died and I had to pull it out anyway, so did the image restore in a different machine (one that works with the newest Clonezilla version). Would I still need to use the old version to run the restore, or could I use the latest version?

Normally no problem. However, who knows…
If you hit a bug, please report, and we will do our best to fix that.
Thanks.
