I am using a Macbook Pro 7,1 with dual booting for Mac/Windows. I recently decided to make my windows partition bigger, and found clonezilla.
I cloned my Windows XP partition with the default settings using the cloneparts option, and I created a larger partition to restore it to. Again I used the default settings with the restoreparts option. Now when I boot to my windows partition, I get a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left.
I've read about this problem and it seems that it's something to do with an improper boot process. But I don't know how to fix it. I've tried booting to my windows CD's recovery console and using "fixboot" (like I read somewhere), but it gave me back an error when I tried to run the command (if you want the exact error I can give it to you).
Anyway, help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, I found that I can explore the restored files from my mac side by clicking on the other partition in Finder. I'll be copying the files I want to an external hard drive and reinstalling windows.
If others are plagued by this problem and you can't fix it, you can probably do this same thing by downloading a Live CD of any Linux distrobution and exploring the second partition through the Live Linux Desktop, and then copying the files you want to a flash drive or external hard drive.
Good luck

Okay, so in the recovery console when I type "fixboot" it tells me that it doesn't recognize that there is a windows partition.

Actually I do not have any experience to run a MS Windows on a Mac.
If anyone on this forum has some experience about this, please share.
Thanks.
