I have two models of laptops that 95% of the time will show nothing on their screens during the imaging process (either saving the disk, or restoring the disk).
The imaging always completes successfully but there is no feedback as to what is happening.
In order to know when they are complete, I have to set the server to save/restore a certain image, and tell them to shutdown when complete. I have to check on them often to see when they have shut down.
Is there something I can do to restore video during imaging? I have 8 other models that work just fine (Lenovos, Dells, Panasonics, IBMs)
Using clonezilla server edition, stable, testing, and unstable (seems to be no difference based on release).

Try this method: http://clonezilla.org/use_clonezilla_live_in_drbl.php
and choose to use Clonezilla live alternative 201*-maverick as client's running OS. The kernel in Clonezilla live alternative 201*-maverick is newer, so it might help.
