i backed up the entire filesystem of one of our older server last week
now i'm trying to restore that image to a different machine.
The old server has SCSI disks and the newer machine has 2 IDE disks
so the original images are saved as sda-sdd and the hard drives that i want to restore them on are hda and hdb (the drives have enough room to hold the original partitions)
is there anny way i can restore these images without going back to the original machine and redoing everything ?

Wouter,
Maybe you can make it by doing a partition restore, one by one. Remember to create a partition table on the target disk first, then use the wizard of "restoreparts" in Clonezilla live.
You might have to deal with the MBR, and the /etc/fstab if it's GNU/Linux.
If the system is MS windows, you might encounter the drive name problem...
