I am trying to boot my PC from Clonezilla Live USB version clonezilla-live-2.1.0-26-i486.
I tried both the GNU/Linux Manual way and also the MS Windows Tuxboot way to install everything
on my external pendrive and make it bootable. I have also set in the BIOS boot settings on my PC that I want the USB removable to be first priority boot device. Still it does not work. The machine loads the Grub of from the Harddrive and doesn't
even notive that I have the Clonezilla live usb plugged into the USB port. I tried all USB ports but nothing.
For a cross check I also tried a standard Ubuntu live usb and my PC can boot from that, so the BIOS settings are correct.
Any ideas what the problem can be? Perhaps some Grub problem? What should I check?
thanks,
Balint

Do not use Tuxboot. Sometimes it gives any problems.
You could take a
2GB SD card , new formated with NTFS .
Download among
Browse All Files (!)
clonezilla-live-2.1.0-26-i486.zip
All extract..
go to folder 'clonezilla-live-2.1.0-26-i486'
mark all extracted files and folders in it
Send to .. USB_SD_card
Go to USB_SD_card
G:\utils\win32\makeboot.bat start with open # that's important for you
Now you can use clonezilla.

@radbal,
That's weird… Did you try to use different USB flash drive to install Clonezilla live on that? Maybe the issue is on the hardware itself?
