sorry if this topic has been covered many times (probably!), but could
not find the answer I'm looking for.
I used CloneZilla to clone a full RAID1 system (to an image file).
When restoring, it completes but says:
"""Found grub partition (/dev/sda1) file system is ext4! The grub 1 from Debian Linux does not support file system ext4! Skip re-installing grub-1. The restored OS might fail to boot."""
indeed, the OS won't boot (no bootable partition found).
How should I solve this problem ?
target OS is Centos 6.x on a DELL RAID1 PERC700.
Clonezilla is 2.2.0-16
thanks
Tom

Replying to myself.
found this:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=308037
maybe a part of explanation of my problem.
still, is there a way to recover the grub without
redoing the whole image again ?
any suggestion welcome
Did you try Clonezilla live 20131029-saucy?
The grub from Ubuntu was patched to work with ext4.
Steven.
