I took an image of my HP Windows 8 laptop when I first got it, which I am now trying to restore, but I’m getting a bunch of errors, the most important of which seem to be:

    Error: /dev/sda/: unrecognised disk label
    Error Creating new GPT entries.

    Error Disk device is /home/partimag/2015-05-02-07-img/sda-gpt.gdisk
38 when determining sector size! Setting sector size to 512

(This last error is repeated many times.)

A screenshot of the errors can be found here:

    (Actually a screen-photo.)

I’ve tried this with 20150608-vivid and 20150715-vivid, both give the same error.

Any advice would be welcomed, thanks.

Problem also occurs with 20150420-vivid, which is the version I made the image with. :(

Solved! I dropped out to the command prompt, apt-get upgraded clonezilla, then re-ran the attempted restore from /tmp. This worked.

Yes, this issue was fixed in the latest unstable drbl/clonezila repository. Therefore no such issue in Clonezilla live
    20150731-wily
    20150731-vivid
    or
    2.4.2-29
    anymore.
    You can find them on
    http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
    Thanks.

    Steven.
