I have a new SSD so want to move my Windows 7 C: partition to it.
The disk with the C: partition on is 1TB, so I have cloned just the C: partition to the 250GB SSD. This seems to work fine and I then used GParted to set the new C: partition as the boot partition.
However, the PC won't boot with the new partition. All I see is a blank screen with a flashing white rectangle cursor.
I guess I must be missing something on the SSD, perhaps I need a MBR or something - but I don't know how to create one.
Any advice please? Thanks.
Steve

Did you try to use your MS Windows CD to fix the boot loader issue?
BTW, you have to make sure your MS Windows has the required driver for the SSD disk. Otherwise it won't boot.
