Hi,
trying to clone a mounted USB hdd 2 TB from a Windows Server to another USB hdd with 3 TB NTFS.
Calculating bitmap...done.
After 1 day Remaining time is more than 1045 hours with hrsRate 31.o4 MB/min.
Progress at ca. 2 %.
Device2 still passive, Device1 blinking LED.
What can I do now?

Are these USB 3 diskdrives and have you connected them to USB 3 ports? Was the performance bad from the start or got it worse over time? What Clonezilla version are you using? What mode does Clonezilla use to copy the data? If it uses dd it can be very slow.

Both were USB3 in correct ports of the Win7 PC. Newest Clonezilla version from your homepage from this week.
Performance was starting with speed 1.3oo MB/Min. After about 2 hrs. fading to 136, later to 33 MB/Min. at elapsed time of 20:41:29 and later to eternity.
Had no idea how to stop the process, so I pushed the standby button twice to restart with Windows instead the USB Stick. Source Disk was unhurt.
What I was not aware: I wanted to use the bigger space of the 3TB disk instead the older 2TB.
This is normally mounted as extension to a NAS (2 TB inside) with Windows Home Server 2003 via USB2 port.
But by cloning, the boot section of 3TB became also limited to 2TB.
So all in all it was not a good idea to start this "time saving" process...
The normal way without cloning means for me to demount the external HDD and get rid of all music albums from both disks and then completely recopy. This will take nearly 3 full days which i did not want to do.
Will try with testdisc or any other tool to repair bootsector of the 3TB.
Any suggestions for me?
