I get tired of trying to find an answer to my specific simple question by searching so I'll ask for human help. I have a HD that is near dead. I have a new HD to clone it to that is plenty large. I would like to clone the old HD OS and all complete to two separate partitions on the new HD. Of course I would like to be able to specify which of those partitions that the PC boots to. I will then in time slowly delete a bunch of garbage that is on this cloned "system" and the other copy will be there if I have a problem with this that I can also delete if it ends up not needed. Can this be done, and if so any info on the options to use? If I have to I can just clone the HD to the new HD and also a separate Flash Drive as that backup, but I would like to have it closer at hand if possible. Any help here? Thanks.

You can use Clonezilla to clone source disk to destination disk, or source partition to destination partition. For more info, please check:
