As topic suggests - having a problem getting the Clonezilla live ISO to actually boot from a USB. I've tried all methods for creating the bootdisk. I use Unetbootin for my other boot disks, which all work fine on this PC, using the same USB stick I'm trying to use for clonezilla.
The USB gets created successfully by both Tuxboot and Unetbootin, using the ISO file (download fails on Tuxboot, Md5 check error so had to use manual ISO). It will not boot at all though. If I use the same USB, and build it as a Linux Mint, or Ubuntu Live bootdisk, it works fine (same laptop).
Any ideas???

I'm running into this same issue. There is no error, it's almost like the computer doesn't see the USB or CD. This same USB and CD work on all my other PC's but not this one. It's an HP Elite Desk 8100 SFF with i7 and running windows 7.

Normally this is hardware issue, or the boot loader compability issue.
Try to use different USB flash drive or CD, and try to upgrade your BIOS firmware.
If it's uEFI booting, try the latest testing Clonezilla live, e.g. 2.4.9-11 or 20161017-yakkety: http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php

I am having the same issue, cannot get Clonezilla Live to boot from the USB or CD. I get the splash screen, but when I select which option I want (I have tried them all) I start getting the error "usb 3-5; device description read/64, error -71" and also the same error line with error -110 (the alternate back and forth)

So did you try the latest Clonezilla live, even the testing one? Like 20170426-zesty or 2.5.1-23? http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
They come with latest Linux kernel (4.10 and 4.9), so the results might be different.

Hi,
I can confirm that I had this issue with the latest testing version on a new machine, and it works with the zesty testing version.
@Orgad,
Thanks for your confirmation. So Clonezilla live 20170626-zesty works.
