I have a few hundreds of computer I need to clone beginning next week. I am bit delayed with making the images because Clonezilla refuses to make images of XFS systems.
Older versions fails directly at 0% when creating the image with some text on the screen about checking disk space.
This seem to be fixed in newer versions as they create the image all the way to 100%, but then crashes. The screenshot from the crash can be seen here: http://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/bugs/230/
Please, help me to work around this problem. I am willing to also test any version but I need a solution very fast.
I have tested to create image on two systems with different sized partitions. Both have this scheme in common:
/ XFS sda1 (one was 30Gb, the other 60Gb) This one made the creation of image to fail
Swap sda2
/home XFS sda3 (rest of the disk)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Debian-based stable, Debian-based testing,
All versions of Alternative, all the way from Saucy to Wily.
Today I made a final test: I made a tar backup of the system, then created the partitions with an older live stick and now it looks better.
Except for creating the xfs sytem with an older version of linux, I did a smaller change in the layout. Earlier sba1 was in the beginning of the disk, sba2 at the end of the disk and sba3 in the middle. Could this have caused any problem?

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
Steven.

Oh, sba3 failed. sba1 went through after the layout change.
Did you try clonezilla live 20150715-wily?

Steven.
BTW, try to enter export mode, and choose "-nogui". From
https://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/bugs/230/
It looks like the problem is on the TUI (ncurse).
Besides, there is an improvement in partclone 0.2.81. However, due to the upload issue on Sourceforge, we are not able to upload it. However, you can find that on:
