Hi
I was using clonezilla 20180812-bionic to clone computers and it started to give random error with nvme drive.
Unable to find target partition "nvme0n1p1". Check if the partition nvme0n1p1 really exists, otherwise maybe the kernel is too old.
Then I have updated to the lastest 20190618-eoan and the result is the same, frequency is something likes 9 fail on 14 tries.
It is really annoying, because I don't have any clue to solve it.
here is the working log https://paste.siveo.net/idetikuhoq.md here is the failed log (all differents fail attempts are the same) https://paste.siveo.net/miwecemema.md the frequency test https://paste.siveo.net/kolanabuja.coffeescript
thx
I forgot, the computer model is
HP ProBook 450 G6 SSD PCIe NVMe M.2
So does this issue only exist in the same machine, or it is reproducible for all the different machines?
Steven
It appears only on this computer type, but i have manyyyyy computer of this type
Does Clonezilla live 2.6.2-10 make any difference? The Linux kernel from Debian is different from that of Ubuntu. Maye you will see different results.
change the bios to boot from AHCI ( instead of RAID )then it should work.
It appears not only on HP ProBook 450 G6 but also on a new computer HP Probook x360 440 G1
Please find informations about those computer in the link below
https://paste.siveo.net/ejoweramac.coffeescript
I'll check about bios setting AHCI ( instead of RAID )
So did you give newer Clonezilla live a try? E.g., Clonezilla live >= 2.6.2-10 or 20190618-eoan: https://clonezilla.org./downloads.php Any difference?
