First of all, the clone worked!… sort of. I think I was a little hasty and didn't completely RTFM, so I need some help to possibly undo what I've done so I can get it done right.
I'm not exactly a newb, only in the Clonezilla area. Here is the scenario:
Laptop Harddrive upgrade 100GB Hitachi Travelstar to a 500GB Hitachi Travelstar. I loaded the Live CD, stepped through the beginner process without a problem, cloned disk to disk via USB. Worked GREAT! Except I now had a 100GB copy on a 500GB Drive. I figured, no problem Fire up GParted and resize away!! This is where it got weird on me. When I viewed the new drive it only showed a device size of 93MB!? This was a BRAND NEW, out of the box Hard Drive, I did not pre-partition it or tell it to resize when done (as I know realize I should have). The weirdest part is no matter how I try I cannot get the full 500GB back to re-start the process over again. Even the BIOS reports 93GB instead of 500GB. Does anybody know what I did, or can do to fix this bizarre situation?
I apologize in advance if this problem is addressed elsewhere in the forum. I did attempt to search for a solution, but I did not have much in the way of success.

"Even the BIOS reports 93GB instead of 500GB" -> This is really weird… How come…
It's possible that the file system size is smaller than the partition size, but it's impossible that the disk size shown in the BIOS is such a small number…
Anyway, if you want to restore the image to a larger disk, you can enter expert mode, then choose "-k1" option. Clonezilla will try to create the partitions proportionally on the destination disk.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I doubly agree it is a weird problem, and I'm not sure how or if Clonezilla was involved. All the more reason to thank you for taking the time to respond to a problem that more than likely doesn't involve your software. I was just hoping for a V8 moment (slapping my forehead) to correct the problem. It's looking like I'll either have to send the drive back or find a way to low-level format it back to it's original capacity.
Thanks again for your time,
Brian
