    Hi,

I've been using clonezilla Live for a while.

Today I got an error I'd never seen.
I have a machine with an SDD and a HDD. I was cloning the SDD to the HDD and selected the option "shutdown" after the cloning is done.

When I got back to the PC there was the following error message:

    Please remove the live medium....
    Broadcast message from systemd-journalid@debian (timestamp)

systemd[1]: Caught <BUS>, dumped core as pid 8260

    Broadcast message from systemd-journalid@debian (timestamp)

    systemd[1]: Freezing execution.

The OS was not responsive and the only thing I was able to do was force shutdown.

    I have 2 questions:
    1. What is this error?
    2. How can I check the image is OK?

    Thank you for your help.

    Eduardo

This is about the last step when halting the system (Clonezilla live), and it should be noting to do with your image integrity.
Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?

In the meanwhile I remembered there was a image check option and I ran it and everything seems OK.

The strange thing is that I used the same live USB on 2 other laptops and everything went smoothly as usual, no problem at all

The version I'm using is clonezilla-live-2.5.2-31-amd64.

I noticed there is a new one.

    Thanks

    Eduardo

The latest Clonezilla live is 2.8.1-12:
    https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
Next time please try the latest one, and if you find the issue is reproducible, report it. It might have been fixed... This will save us a lot of time.
    Thanks.
