Why doesn't Clonezilla show directories with spaces in their names?

Is this a limitation of some upstream piece of software (partclone, for example) or is this solely present in Clonezilla? I'm curious as to where a bug report should be filed to.
It's Clonezilla itself.
Space in the Unix file/dir name is acceptable, however, it makes parse the directories more complicated. Especially when using that with dialog/whiptail.
For the time being, we do not consider to change that.
However, patches are welcome.
