I hope this question hasn't been asked (and answered) before but searches on this forum and Google have been rather fruitless.
We are currently using Ghost in a University environment. It has worked relatively flawlessly for a number of years but due to a necessary reinstallation and missing installation disks I have decided to rather try opensource as an option.
We use a private B class range for staff and student labs served by a Windows 2003 DHCP. To use Ghost we had to set options 66 & 67 to effectively pxe boot and receive the Ghost client. I have read through the DRBL documentation and there is only reference to running a DHCP server on the DRBL server to service DHCP requests and no mention of the possibility of using an external DHCP that references the DRBL via options. It would be impractical to set a pc (or even a range of a PC's) to separate VLAN each time you need to reinstall (including changing the helper address to point at a alternative DHCP).
Is an external (to the DRBL server) DHCP an option and if so are there any specific options/settings?

It's can be done, just not very trivial. You got to know how to deal with the DHCP config.
