    Hi ,

i  try to create a disk image via clonezilla live (version. 20120123-precise) and save it on a samba storage. Unfortunately this error pops up:

"Broken partition images were found or some of them are not cloneable in this image: imagename"

I try to clone standard Win 7 Pro installation on a NTFS partitions with mbr +  system recovery volume .

I checked the partions with scandisk. They seems to be clean and without  any errors.

The disk is a OCZ 80 GB Agility 2 SSD.

    Need some help !

    Cheers

    sisko

    Hi Steven,

if i try to restore the image it is corrupted. No partitions are created after restoring the image to a identical SSD with clonezilla live.

There is another error msg …

Warning: /dev/sda contains GPT signatures, incdicating that it has a GPT table. However., it does not have a valid fake msdos partition table, as it should. Perhaps it was corrupted - possibly by a program that doesn't understand GPT partition tables. Or perhaps you deleted the GPT table, and are now using an msdos partition table. Is this a GPT partition table?

"Warning: /dev/sda contains GPT signatures, incdicating that it has a GPT table. However., it does not have a valid fake msdos partition table, as it should. " -> OK, looks like the GPT and MBR mixed partition table confused Clonezilla.
On thing I do not understand is, Clonezilla live 20120123-precise should complain this case, while it did not…
Could you please boot Clonezilla live 20120123-precise or 20120127-precise, enter command line prompt, then run:
    sudo sgdisk -v /dev/sdb
    Then post the results?

    Steven.

"Warning! Secondary partition table overlaps the last partition by 3532973471 blocks! You will need to delete this partition or resize it in another utility." -> So it looks like the partition table has some problem…  Maybe that's why Clonezilla failed there?
Will you able to check the partitions are correct on your MS Windows?

    Steven.

Hi , unfortunately … the openid login does not work properly .

So i checked all partions … no errors found at all in MS Windows.
As i said … those partions where created by default Windows setup.

So maybe somehow there is some unknown issue for Clonezilla or partclone.
Does anyone on this forum has similar issue?

    Steven.

    Hi.
    Yes, i have a similair issue ...
    Have you fix it ?
I'm trying to clone a full disk with Win7 and Ubuntu12.04.
The image creation works but the verification always fail for the sda1 partition (Windows 7 system partition).
    I use Clonezilla Saucy 64 25.11.2013.

    Hi.
    Some news ...
If i choose "advanced menu" and check -ntfs-ok, -rescue option, the sda1, sda2 and sda3 are restorable.
But sda5 (Linux OS) verification fail ..
    I don't understand ..

Did you run a memtest check?
It looks like some hardware issue there...
    Just a guess.
